Nickel Cobalt Process
Description
TMF has proprietary technology that is an excellent method for plating Ultra-High strength glassy metals- Nickel Phosphorus - Nickel Cobalt Phosphorus - in a variety of alloys with different and specific properties. The metals are deposited by Electroless deposition with the positive attributes of deposition by electroplating. (Utilizing rectification). This process is a proven Hexavalent Chromium replacement and excellent for many other applications.
Excellent chromium replacement coating!
Commercial Applications:
* Chromium replacement * Aircraft, Military components * Compact Discs * Telescopes * Hydraulic rods & shafts * Tubing * Molds * Optical, Microscopes * Automobiles * Decorative wear and corrosion resistant coatings
Benefits:
* Chrome replacement * Meets ELV standards * Coatings are high strength, 52 Rc on Rockwell C scale * High Hardness * Great machine ability properties * Residual stress from tensile to compressive can be controlled * Process excellent for a variety of nickel alloys, nonmagnetic to highly magnetic
This process can be changed to achieve specific metallurgical properties.
